Prepare your WM practice session

Use this checklist with your own learning material. Check the starting data, follow the permitted steps and compare the result.

Prepare the starting records

A configured classic WM or Stock Room Management exercise and a supported receipt. Check that these records belong to the permitted practice organisation. Note their identifiers and relevant dates so you can find the same starting point again.

Define the result before you act

Explain interim stock and confirmed destination-bin stock. Write down which document, status, quantity or amount will demonstrate that result. Keep the same selection criteria when comparing your before and after views.

Investigate an unexpected result

Compare the first step where the outcome differs from your material. Check the object reference, organisational context, date, status and message before repeating the action. If the issue is an unavailable app or permission, record the exact requirement for support; do not assume more access time changes the system scope.

Keep a useful practice record

Save the exercise objective, starting references, actions you performed, final reference and a short explanation of the result. Repeat with one permitted change and describe its effect. Use synthetic or authorised data, and keep passwords and confidential business information out of screenshots.

What should I check before choosing SAP WM practice access?

Check whether your course uses classic WM, Stock Room Management or EWM before following its warehouse exercise. Identify the warehouse number, bins and transfer-order or warehouse-task model; these document models differ, and the actual configured S/4HANA solution determines the suitable route.

Can I request a free SAP WM demo?

Regular access plans are paid. You can request demo access by email or WhatsApp and ask our team to confirm the available scope. This is not an unlimited free practice system.

Do you sell ECC or IDES access?

No. ECC and IDES are comparison topics here. The current individual access plans use SAP S/4HANA 2023; check the edition required by your exercises.

These are example exercises to use with your own learning material. Before you start, confirm that the required apps, permissions and practice data are available.

Put stock into a bin

Check the warehouse, material, quantity, unit and inventory-management reference for your Stock Room Management or classic WM exercise. Inspect the transfer requirement or other follow-on document and the transfer order’s proposed source and destination. Follow the confirmation allowed by your exercise and role. Compare confirmed quantity, destination-bin stock and any interim-stock balance rather than treating a proposed transfer order as completed putaway.

Learning result: Reconcile the transfer-order confirmation and destination stock, including interim stock where applicable.

Pick from warehouse stock

Check material, quantity and reference document. Review the proposed bin and available quant. Record the authorised quantity and any exercise difference.

Learning result: Explain how the picked quantity relates to the delivery requirement.
03

Move between bins

Check material, batch if relevant, and current bin. Confirm the permitted target in the exercise. Inspect and confirm the internal transfer order.

Learning result: Explain why bin stock changed while warehouse total remained consistent.
