THE ESSENTIALS, CLEARLY EXPLAINED

What is SAP SD
server access?

SAP SD server access provides a user account for hands-on Sales and Distribution practice in a shared SAP S/4HANA 2023 system. Connect using SAP GUI or SAP Fiori browser access, according to your assigned roles.

Use this SD practice system to explore sales orders, pricing, deliveries, returns and billing. Start with the topic map, then follow a complete learning route and inspect its business result.

Individual S/4HANA access is delivered in 2–5 minutes after successful payment. Bring your own learning material; courses and certification exams are separate.

SD · PRACTICE MAP 01

Sales preparation & order management

01Sales-area structure

Connect sales organisation, distribution channel and division with customer and material sales data.

02Business partners & partners

Distinguish sold-to, ship-to, bill-to and payer roles and follow their document effects.

03Sales documents

Compare inquiries, quotations, orders and contracts through their references and statuses.

04Item & schedule-line context

Understand why an item can be relevant for delivery, billing, procurement or a different follow-on process.

05Pricing conditions

Read the condition analysis to explain base price, discounts, surcharges, taxes and net value.

06Availability & delivery dates

Compare requested and confirmed quantities and dates; distinguish basic availability checks from advanced ATP scope.

SD · PRACTICE MAP 02

Fulfilment, billing & exceptions

07Outbound delivery

Follow shipping-point, picking and delivery status before a goods issue.

08Billing & accounting

Connect the billing document to revenue, tax and customer receivables.

09Returns & credit requests

Trace reference documents, returns handling and the difference between a return and a credit adjustment.

10Credit and delivery blocks

Identify the reason and responsible review process instead of assuming every blocked order can be released.

11Partial delivery & billing

Explain remaining quantities and document status when fulfilment happens in more than one step.

12Document flow & analysis

Use the document chain and sales reports to reconcile ordered, delivered, billed and cancelled quantities.

Plan the right practice scope. Business partner, output and credit-management processes can differ from older ECC exercises. Match the course version to S/4HANA 2023. The topics describe learning possibilities, not a guarantee that every feature, dataset or authorisation is included.

From starting data to result.

Choose an example route for SAP SD. Each includes starting requirements, explained steps and an outcome to check against your own learning material.

SD · 5 CONNECTED STEPS

Order to cash

Connect one customer order to its logistics and accounting consequences.

START WITH

A customer, saleable material, sales area and suitable practice stock.

THE RESULT TO EXPLAIN

Keep the order, delivery and billing references. Compare material quantity before and after the permitted goods issue, then follow the invoice into accounting; goods issue and customer billing are separate events.

  1. 01
    Prepare sales data

Check partner roles, material sales data and the sales area.

  2. 02
    Enter the order

Review price conditions, requested quantity and confirmed dates.

  3. 03
    Complete delivery steps

Inspect picking requirements and post the exercise goods issue where authorised.

  4. 04
    Create billing

Reference the delivery or order according to the configured billing relevance.

  5. 05
    Trace the receivable

Follow document flow to billing and the accounting document.

Use authorised practice records and the configured process for your course. These walkthroughs are learning guides; they do not perform actions in SAP.

A clear next step

Prepare your SD practice session

Use this checklist with your own learning material. Check the starting data, follow the permitted steps and compare the result.

Prepare the starting records

A customer, saleable material, sales area and suitable practice stock. Check that these records belong to the permitted practice organisation. Note their identifiers and relevant dates so you can find the same starting point again.

Define the result before you act

Explain the complete order, delivery, billing and receivable chain. Write down which document, status, quantity or amount will demonstrate that result. Keep the same selection criteria when comparing your before and after views.

Investigate an unexpected result

Compare the first step where the outcome differs from your material. Check the object reference, organisational context, date, status and message before repeating the action. If the issue is an unavailable app or permission, record the exact requirement for support; do not assume more access time changes the system scope.

Keep a useful practice record

Save the exercise objective, starting references, actions you performed, final reference and a short explanation of the result. Repeat with one permitted change and describe its effect. Use synthetic or authorised data, and keep passwords and confidential business information out of screenshots.

Choosing access3 questions
What should I check before choosing SAP SD practice access?

Match the sales area, business partner, material and pricing example to your order-to-cash exercise. Trace the sales order through delivery and billing to the accounting result; confirm returns, credit-memo and advanced-ATP variants when your material requires them.

Can I request a free SAP SD demo?

Regular access plans are paid. You can request demo access by email or WhatsApp and ask our team to confirm the available scope. This is not an unlimited free practice system.

Do you sell ECC or IDES access?

No. ECC and IDES are comparison topics here. The current individual access plans use SAP S/4HANA 2023; check the edition required by your exercises.

CONNECT YOUR ACCESS WITH YOUR PREPARATION

SD processes to practise

These are example exercises to use with your own learning material. Before you start, confirm that the required apps, permissions and practice data are available.

01

Order to cash

Check partner roles, material sales data, sales area, quantity and dates. Where your exercise and role allow, follow the sales order, delivery and goods-issue steps, then create billing with the configured order or delivery reference. In document flow, compare the quantities and billing status. Inspect the receivable and accounting document when billing has been posted to accounting.

Learning result: Trace order, delivery, billing and receivable documents, and identify any step still open.
02

Quotation to order

Check validity, items, conditions and open quantity. Use the quotation reference rather than retyping an unrelated order. Inspect copied partners, pricing and any redetermined values.

Learning result: Explain copied values and the quotation completion status.
03

Customer return

Find the original order, delivery and invoice, then check the return reason and quantity. Follow the permitted returns delivery and receipt steps and inspect the resulting stock status. Separately trace the credit document or other compensation specified by your exercise. Check its amount and accounting status; a returned quantity alone does not prove customer credit.

Learning result: Reconcile the returned quantity and explain the separate customer-credit result.

Match the qualification to your actual exercises. Business partner, output and credit-management processes can differ from older ECC exercises. Match the course version to S/4HANA 2023.
