MDG certification practice: from request to approved data
C_MDG covers SAP Master Data Governance. A useful starting exercise is to follow one change request and understand how validation, approval and activation protect the quality of master data.

Note the current value and the business reason for changing it. Use fictional details.
Create the permitted request
Enter the change through the configured MDG process. Check the fields and supporting information required.
Resolve validation messages
Read each message, correct the cause and submit the request to the next permitted workflow step.
Check approval and activation
Follow the workflow status and compare the final active value with the request. If another role is required, inspect the handover rather than bypassing it.

What does C_MDG cover?
C_MDG identifies SAP Certified - SAP Master Data Governance. Use the official SAP page for current objectives, assessment requirements and booking information.
Is editing a business partner the same as MDG?
No. MDG adds governed change processes, validation and workflow around master data. A direct edit is not proof that an MDG process is available.
Can one user perform every approval step?
That depends on the configured workflow and assigned roles. Confirm the required role sequence instead of assuming a single account can act as requester and every approver.
Which data domain should I start with?
Choose the domain used by your learning material, such as business partner, material or financial data. Its model and change-request process must be configured in the practice system.
