THE ESSENTIALS, CLEARLY EXPLAINED

What is SAP PS
server access?

SAP PS server access provides a user account for hands-on Project System practice in a shared SAP S/4HANA 2023 system. Connect using SAP GUI or SAP Fiori browser access, according to your assigned roles.

Use this PS practice system to explore WBS elements, networks, project procurement, budgets and costs. Start with the topic map, then follow a complete learning route and inspect its business result.

Individual S/4HANA access is delivered in 2–5 minutes after successful payment. Bring your own learning material; courses and certification exams are separate.

PROJECT SYSTEM · WHAT YOU CAN EXPLORE

Project structure & planning.
Execution, control & completion.

A connected topic map for your SAP PS training and self-study. Open a topic for its business purpose, then choose the matching practice route below.

PS · PRACTICE MAP 01

Project structure & planning

01Project definitions & profiles

Read the settings and organisational context that shape a project example.

02WBS elements

Build a logical hierarchy and distinguish planning, account-assignment and billing-related roles.

03Networks & activities

Connect activity dependencies, dates and work with the project structure.

04Milestones

Relate meaningful project events to dates and configured follow-on actions.

05Cost planning

Compare planned quantities and values with the cost structure required by the exercise.

06Budget & availability control

Distinguish an approved spending limit from a cost plan and inspect the configured control response.

PS · PRACTICE MAP 02

Execution, control & completion

07Project procurement

Follow WBS or activity account assignment into purchasing and receipt documents.

08Commitments & actual costs

Explain how an open purchase order differs from an actual expense.

09Progress & confirmations

Connect activity execution and recorded work with project dates and status.

10Project stock

Distinguish project-specific stock from general plant stock where that scenario is configured.

11Settlement & results context

Review receivers and the exercise-specific period-end process without assuming every project uses the same accounting method.

12Reporting & closure

Read project cost line items, hierarchy totals and status before explaining the completion result.

Plan the right practice scope. Project authorisations, settlement receivers and integration data determine which end-to-end exercises can be completed. The topics describe learning possibilities, not a guarantee that every feature, dataset or authorisation is included.

A practice project profile and authorised project workspace.

THE RESULT TO EXPLAIN

Explain which part of the project owns each activity and cost.

  1. 01
    Create the hierarchy

Organise deliverables into a project definition and WBS elements.

  2. 02
    Assign responsibilities

SAP_ALL access covers functional transaction codes, SPRO configuration and ABAP development in the supplied S/4HANA 2023 system. Workspaces and apps depend on the installed software.

FIORI & BROWSER WORKFLOWS

Match the app to the exercise. Confirm the exact app title or ID, S/4HANA release and business role. A launchpad can also open SAP GUI for HTML; a browser screen is not automatically a native Fiori app.

Open SAP Fiori apps library (SAP sign-in required)

Use your SAP Universal ID, separate from your practice login. Search by app name or ID, then choose your SAP product and release.

WBS

A hierarchy dividing the project into manageable work packages.

Commitment

A purchasing-related obligation that has not yet become the corresponding actual cost.

Settlement

The configured allocation of collected project costs to their receivers.

A clear next step

Prepare your PS practice session

Use this checklist with your own learning material. Check the starting data, follow the permitted steps and compare the result.

Prepare the starting records

A practice project profile and authorised project workspace. Check that these records belong to the permitted practice organisation. Note their identifiers and relevant dates so you can find the same starting point again.

Define the result before you act

Explain which part of the project owns each activity and cost. Write down which document, status, quantity or amount will demonstrate that result. Keep the same selection criteria when comparing your before and after views.

Investigate an unexpected result

Compare the first step where the outcome differs from your material. Check the object reference, organisational context, date, status and message before repeating the action. If the issue is an unavailable app or permission, record the exact requirement for support; do not assume more access time changes the system scope.

Keep a useful practice record

Save the exercise objective, starting references, actions you performed, final reference and a short explanation of the result. Repeat with one permitted change and describe its effect. Use synthetic or authorised data, and keep passwords and confidential business information out of screenshots.

Choosing access3 questions
What should I check before choosing SAP PS practice access?

Identify the project profile, WBS or network and whether the exercise concerns planning, budgeting, procurement or settlement. For investment or customer-billing scenarios, check the required receiver and linked documents; a general PS account does not establish every portfolio or cloud-project product.

Can I request a free SAP PS demo?

Regular access plans are paid. You can request demo access by email or WhatsApp and ask our team to confirm the available scope. This is not an unlimited free practice system.

Do you sell ECC or IDES access?

No. ECC and IDES are comparison topics here. The current individual access plans use SAP S/4HANA 2023; check the edition required by your exercises.

01

Plan a project structure

Organise deliverables into a project definition and WBS elements. Check organisational data and account-assignment roles. Review network relationships and relevant milestones.

Learning result: Explain which part of the project owns each activity and cost.
02

Procure for a project

Identify the project object and material or service needed. Inspect the requisition and purchase order with the project reference. Trace the goods receipt or supported service acceptance and invoice.

Learning result: Reconcile the purchasing document with project reporting.
03

Check project budget

Inspect the assigned amount, period and project hierarchy. Identify purchasing documents reserving part of the available amount. Trace posted expenses to their source documents.

Learning result: Distinguish planning values, budget and consumed amounts.

Match the qualification to your actual exercises. Project authorisations, settlement receivers and integration data determine which end-to-end exercises can be completed.
