Prepare your EWM practice session

Use this checklist with your own learning material. Check the starting data, follow the permitted steps and compare the result.

Prepare the starting records

An embedded EWM warehouse, product and supported inbound document. Check that these records belong to the permitted practice organisation. Note their identifiers and relevant dates so you can find the same starting point again.

Define the result before you act

Explain where the stock is stored and which tasks moved it. Write down which document, status, quantity or amount will demonstrate that result. Keep the same selection criteria when comparing your before and after views.

Investigate an unexpected result

Compare the first step where the outcome differs from your material. Check the object reference, organisational context, date, status and message before repeating the action. If the issue is an unavailable app or permission, record the exact requirement for support; do not assume more access time changes the system scope.

Keep a useful practice record

Save the exercise objective, starting references, actions you performed, final reference and a short explanation of the result. Repeat with one permitted change and describe its effect. Use synthetic or authorised data, and keep passwords and confidential business information out of screenshots.

What should I check before choosing SAP EWM practice access?

Specify the warehouse, inbound or outbound delivery, storage bins and warehouse-task steps in your exercise. Confirm that it fits embedded EWM in the offered S/4HANA landscape; decentralised EWM, RF workflows and advanced warehouse functions need separate checks.

Can I request a free SAP EWM demo?

Regular access plans are paid. You can request demo access by email or WhatsApp and ask our team to confirm the available scope. This is not an unlimited free practice system.

Do you sell ECC or IDES access?

No. ECC and IDES are comparison topics here. The current individual access plans use SAP S/4HANA 2023; check the edition required by your exercises.

These are example exercises to use with your own learning material. Before you start, confirm that the required apps, permissions and practice data are available.

Inbound to storage bin

Check the warehouse, inbound delivery reference, product, quantity, unit and any handling unit required by your exercise. Follow the configured goods-receipt step and inspect the putaway task and proposed destination. Where your role and exercise allow, complete the required task confirmation. Compare the confirmed quantity and destination-bin stock with task and delivery status; a proposed bin or goods receipt alone does not prove completed putaway.

Learning result: Distinguish goods receipt, proposed putaway and confirmed destination-bin stock.

Pick an outbound delivery

Read product, quantity, stock determination and delivery context. Identify source bin and destination or staging area. Record the permitted task confirmation and any exercise exception.

Learning result: Explain picked quantity, remaining tasks and the goods-issue relationship.

Count a warehouse bin

Check bin, products and whether movements are restricted. Enter the exercise count with the correct units and stock identity. Compare system quantity and count before acceptance.

Learning result: Explain counted stock and the difference follow-up.
