How to Practise SAP S/4HANA
Start SAP S/4HANA practice with one exercise from your own learning material. Identify the required app or transaction, use permitted starting data and decide what result you will check. Complete that small task before moving to a larger process.
Have these three things ready
Your login and connection
The system and client details from your customer portal, plus the relevant connection guide.
Your practice records
The document numbers, material or customer records your exercise uses. Ask if the required data is available.
Try this: read a purchase order
This first exercise is about displaying an existing order. You need its number and permission to view it.
Open the order
Use a permitted sample purchase order and open ME23N in SAP GUI, or the equivalent available app named in your material.
Find the important details
Identify the supplier, material, quantity and delivery date. Look at the order history if related documents exist.
Explain the result
Write one sentence about what was ordered and what has happened so far. Keep the purchase-order number so you can find it again.
Build on the same exercise
Repeat with a second record
Compare a different authorised order. Look for a different quantity, delivery status or invoice reference.
Then try a guided change
When your material asks you to create or post something, use the assigned practice data and check the resulting document. Do not change another learner’s records.

What should my first SAP exercise be?
Start with a display task, such as reading a sample purchase order or accounting document. Identify its key fields and explain what the record means.
Do I need to know every transaction code?
No. Learn the small set used by your exercise and understand the business task behind each code. The transaction-code reference helps you look them up.

Can I use the same example data as my course?
Only if those records exist in your practice system. Course screenshots and sample numbers may belong to a different environment; confirm the required data first.
Why does my screen look different?
The interface, software release, configuration and user permissions can change what appears. Compare your course requirements with the supplied system.

What should I record after an exercise?
Keep the document number, the action you took and the result you checked. This makes it easier to repeat the task or explain a problem.
