SAP practice — Keep work and personal practice separate

Your own account
Use the account issued to you and follow the provider’s access terms. An employer login should only be used within the permission your employer has given.
Appropriate data
Create fictional examples or use the supplied training records. Do not copy customer, employee or business records out of a workplace system.
A suitable provider
Check the provider’s identity, service description and terms. If your organisation requires evidence of software rights or contractual permission, request that evidence directly.

Set up an independent practice routine

  1. Choose the exercise

Identify the product, release and business task in your learning material.

  2. Confirm the environment

Ask whether the required app, data and permitted actions are available before buying.

  3. Connect with your own login

Use the supplied connection instructions and keep the credentials private.

  4. Build a fictional example

Work with assigned sample records and save only the notes and screenshots you are permitted to keep.

If something differs

Your course uses employer-specific data

Replace it with an authorised practice example and check which configuration differences affect the steps.

Your employer has a training policy

Follow that policy and ask its owner about any unclear permission before transferring materials or data.
